Dr. Tommy Wong D.C. B.Sc. D.Ac
Dr. Tommy Wong has been a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist for over 14 years. Being born and raised in Mississauga, he had earned his high school diploma at Cawthra Park Secondary School. Later, he graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Moving back to Toronto, he was accepted to Chiropractic College in 1994. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in1998 and he also received his acupuncture certificate from the Acupuncture Council of Ontario at that time. He is very compassionate and dedicated in his profession and will cater to his patients with expertise and caring. Many common ailments can be helped with Chiropractic such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, sprains, strains, nerve pain, disc pathology etc. Acupuncture can help such things as to reduce pain levels, reduce headache pain, reduce the healing time for sprains and strains, reduce inflammation and swelling in joints and muscles, infertility, high blood pressure and it can also reduce stress/ anxiety.
Amrita Ratnani BPT, ESLM, Registered Physiotherapist
She has worked in a variety of specialized clinical settings, including acute stroke care and cardiac rehab, in-patient neurological and outpatient musculoskeletal rehabilitation. After graduating from Rajv Gandhi University of health Sciences, India she has continued to pursue a variety of educational opportunities to further strengthen my clinical acumen, including training to get registered as a physiotherapist in Ontario. She is dedicated to maintain high standards of care and incorporate her extensive knowledge in manual therapy into her treatment regimens alongside a range of treatment modalities including exercise, programming, ultrasound, electrotherapeutic modalities and more. Along with working at 3 physiotherapy private practice centre’s currently she is an avid reader and love music of all types. She loves being in Toronto and enjoying all of the outdoors spaces and events the city has to offer.
Mihai Seplecan ,Bsc, RMT
Mihai Seplecan is a Registered Massage Therapist at Medissa Wellness Center. Mihai is an associate member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and is a graduate from Sutherland-Chan School&Teaching Clinic in 2005 with excellent qualifications, techniques and experience in many different fields that pertain to massage therapy. He has enjoyed performing in a variety of specialized clinics including Pregnancy treatment clinics at Women College Toronto, Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation at the Toronto Rehabilitation Lyndhurst Centre, Sports Clinics at different renowned clubs in Martial Arts, Hockey, Kabbadi, Equine Therapy at Mohawk Barns and Campbellwille, Geriatrics, Multiple Sclerosis (MS Society Toronto). He has also done volunteering work for the Tora Martial Arts Club since graduation in 2005, performing complementary pre and post sports treatments on all students and Black Belt Club, especially for Deep Tissue Therapy and Lymphatic Drainage. Mihai had also College teaching experience at National Institute Brampton as an Anatomy and Clinical Orthopaedic Assessment instructor. Mihai’s approach to Massage Therapy is through the combination of manual Therapy and science; both components are imperative in order to improve the body’s function and a person’s overall well-being. He promotes patient education along with open and honest patient-therapist relationships as he believes these are essential in order for him to help a patient reach their ultimate goal and maintain long term results. He plans on adding Osteopathy treatments to his areas of expertise in the very near future
Dr. Daniel Javitz, B.Sc. (Hons.), D.C. (Chiropractor)
Dr. Javitz is a Doctor of Chiropractic with knowledge in various soft tissue release techniques, licensed to provide acupuncture, and carries a personal trainer specialist certificate. Dr. Javitz has been trained as a Trigenics® Practitioner with Advanced Standing (a premium form of soft tissue therapy) and holds a certificate in Emergency first aid and adult/child CPR.
• Helped Setup the Chiropractic component and/or entire clinical setup for several clinics in several types of clinical environments.
• Conducted contract work for several types of clinics over the past several years.
• Over eighteen years experience in fitness training industry (self and others).
• Completed a four year degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractor College.
• Completed a term at Queen’s University. A major/minor Bachelor of Science Honors degree was obtained. The major was a Bachelor of Science Honors in Biology and the minor was a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies. Upon completion of his term at Queen’s University, Daniel was placed on the Dean’s Honor List.
During his time at Queen’s University, at Chiropractor College, in the fitness industry, and over his clinical work, Dr. Javitz has been determined in all his work effort to keep future goals, both his professional growth and his clients’ success, in focus.
Philip Kalvari, BSc(Hons), BSc (Wits), D. Pod M (SA)
Philip has twenty years clinical experience in a wide range of presenting foot conditions. He is currently contracted to serving several Long Term care facilities which has enabled him to deal with Geriatric foot conditions, such as Diabetic and wound related issues.
Philip has always had an avid interest in sports medicine which was his initial reason for becoming a Foot Specialist. Since he was a child he has been running marathons, including the New York Marathon and experimenting with a wide range of sports related devices and orthotic types. Working with the running community is his passion.
Many of his patients also include children who may be experiencing foot pain due to genetic/gait challenges. In fact 2 of his own children wear his orthotics.
Philip is a happily married family man with a devoted wife and 4 beautiful children, one of whom has special needs.
Philip graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989 followed by an intensive 4 year podiatry degree, graduating in 1993 and was also awarded a an honors degree in Podiatric Science through the University of Brighton, England in 1993.
He was a member of faculty at the School of Chiropody at the Michener Institute, Toronto as well as a clinical supervisor in the Faculty of Health, Podiatry Department at Alexandra Health Centre, South Africa.
Currently he is registered with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario and a Member of the Ontario Society of Chiropodists.
